Mother's Day Out Ministry Delays, Closings & Early Dismissals

Mother's Day Out Ministry will alert families of school delays, closings and unscheduled early dismissals through the ChildPilot app. Please make sure your information and app are up to date. Notifications will also be posted on our Facebook page.

ChildPilot App

Primary notifications regarding delays, closings and early dismissals will be sent through the ChildPilot app. Please make sure your contact information and app are up to date.

Facebook

Updates will also be posted on the Mother's Day Out Ministry Facebook page. Families should check Facebook if they have not received a ChildPilot notification.

Local Media

Listen to Bigfoot Country 102.1 and 101.3 or Sunny 106.5. Information may also be announced on WJAC Channel 6 and WTAJ Channel 10.

Weather Procedures

Delay, Closing and Dismissal Policies

Mother's Day Out Ministry follows the DuBois Area School District schedule for weather-related delays, closings and early dismissals.

One-Hour and Two-Hour Delays

If the DuBois Area School District announces a one-hour or two-hour delay, Mother's Day Out Ministry will follow the same delay.

Example: If the DuBois Area School District announces a two-hour delay, Mother's Day Out Ministry will begin at 11:30 a.m.

If the DuBois Area School District announces a one-hour or two-hour delay, Before School Care will also be delayed by the same amount of time.

School Closings

If the DuBois Area School District is closed, Mother's Day Out Ministry will also be closed.

Please check the ChildPilot app, Facebook page and local media before traveling during inclement weather.

Mother's Day Out Ministry follows the DuBois Area School District exactly for weather-related closings.

Unscheduled Early Dismissals

In the event of an unscheduled early dismissal due to inclement weather, Mother's Day Out Ministry will dismiss students one hour before the DuBois Area School District elementary dismissal time.

Example: If DuBois Area School District elementary students are dismissed at 1:00 p.m., Mother's Day Out Ministry students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m.

If school is dismissed early, After School Care will be closed.

After-School Cancellations

If the DuBois Area School District cancels after-school activities because of inclement weather or another emergency, the Mother's Day Out Ministry After School Program will also be cancelled.

Families will receive a notification through the ChildPilot app if this occurs.

Please keep your ChildPilot contact information and mobile app up to date so you receive all important notifications.

Please Monitor Your ChildPilot Notifications

Most importantly, families will receive a ChildPilot notification when children are dismissed early. Please monitor your phone during inclement weather. Closing and early dismissal times are not flexible. Please pick up your child or children at the announced dismissal time.
